How we handle your data

What we collect, why, where it goes and how you can hold us to it. In particular: the microphone and voice messages.

What we collect and why

We collect only what you give us, and only to reply to you:

The project brief (the «Tell us about the project» form): what you enter, to assess the request and get back to you. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps you asked for, and your consent.
A call booking: name, email, topic and, if you choose phone or WhatsApp, your number; optionally company and a note; the time you chose and your device's time zone. They are used to arrange and make the call. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps you asked for.
Messages to Yaxare, our chat assistant, typed or spoken (see below). Legal basis: your consent.
We do not use this data for advertising or mailing lists, and we do not sell it.

Microphone and voice messages

In Yaxare's chat you can record a voice message instead of typing. This is how it works:

The microphone turns on only when you press the record button. The first time, your browser asks for permission: if you don't give it, nothing is recorded and you can still type.
You can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings (usually from the icon next to the site address). We never record in the background.
While you record, the chat shows that the microphone is on and for how long. It turns off when you finish, cancel or close the chat. Each message lasts at most 2 minutes.
The recording stays in your browser. In the ordinary chat it is never sent to anyone: it disappears when you close the page.
In the «Let us hear you» flow, voice messages and answers are sent to the studio only if, at the end, you consent and press «Send to the studio». They arrive as attachments to an email in the studio's mailbox (Gmail, a Google service). The site keeps no copy.
Automatic transcription: if your browser offers speech recognition (for example Chrome, Edge or Safari), a transcript is shown while you record. It is produced by the browser's service, not by Maverick Studio: in some browsers the audio may be processed on the browser maker's servers (Google, Microsoft or Apple) under their own policies. To avoid this, type instead of recording.

Who receives the data

Only the studio and the technical providers who process it on our behalf: Google (Gmail, for emails with requests, bookings and voice messages) and Supabase (the bookings database). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

How long we keep it

We keep requests, bookings and voice messages for as long as needed to reply and to manage any work together. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing, receive it in a readable format, and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to maverick.digitalstudioz@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it).
